Retainers: The Key to a Lasting Smile
Clean retainers thoroughly once a day with a toothbrush and Anti-bacterial mouthwash such as Listerine. Brushing retainers removes the plaque, and eliminates odors. Efferdent or other orthodontic appliance cleaners can be used but do not take the place of brushing. If you notice hard, white build-up in your retainers, soaking retainers for 1 hours in a solution of 1/2 water and 1/2 white vinegar is effective.
