Dr. Clint Emerson grew up in Broken Arrow and after graduating from high school attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, on an academic and football scholarship. While at Harding, Dr. Emerson met his future wife Amy during their first semester. In 1996, Dr. Emerson and Amy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and he and Amy were married that summer. After teaching high school math and science for two years, Dr. Emerson began his dental school training at the University of Mississippi Dental School in Jackson, Mississippi. He graduated with honors receiving the degree of Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) in 2002. After dental school, Dr. Emerson accepted an orthodontic residency position at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans. In 2004, after two years of specialized training, Dr. Emerson received his Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Emerson and his family moved back to Oklahoma where he has practiced orthodontics since 2004 and Amy is a pediatrician with the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Emerson has recently become a member of a very elite group of orthodontists. He successfully completed the requirements for board certification and was named a Diplomat by the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Emerson and Amy have three children, Henry, Claudia, and Jude. While not practicing orthodontics, Dr. Emerson enjoys refereeing high school football, snow skiing, and traveling. He is very active in his church and has participated in mission trips to Mexico, Belize, Honduras, New Orleans, and the Ukraine. His professional activities include serving as the President of the Oklahoma Orthodontic Society, a Delegate for the Oklahoma Dental Association, and memberships in the Tulsa County Dental Society, American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Southwest Society of Orthodontists, Green Country Study Club, and Tulsa Endo Study Club. Dr. Emerson is also active in the Broken Arrow Rotary Club. |
